The band’s story
On this EP, Mike, Rooney and the rest of the band explore disco, funk and soul. The sound changes, but the idea stays simple: nine musicians finding a groove together.
The band members and their backstory are fictional. The production credits describe the actual work.
The making
The EP focuses on how bass, guitar, keys and voices work together over a steady disco rhythm.
This EP was especially challenging to produce. The disco beat had to stay steady, but the model often lost it or broke the rhythm. Choosing takes that kept that pulse was a key part of the work.
Musicshoot generated takes with local AI models on two home computers. Repeated listening and revisions helped narrow them down to the four recordings on the EP.
